Covid19 Rules for Foreign Travellers Arriving in Kazakhstan:

  • Passengers arriving in Kazakhstan must have a negative PCR test certificate (no more than 3 days old).

  • In the absence of a negative PCR test certificate, passengers, including citizens of Kazakhstan and persons holding residence permits in Kazakhstan, will not be allowed to board from the airport of departure.

  • Persons who have received a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 in Kazakhstan upon providing documentary confirmation, do not need to present a negative PCR test certificate.

  • Children under 5 years old do not need to take the test.

  • PCR test certificates must be in English, Russian or Kazakh.

  • PCR test certificates with a negative result are not required for international transit passengers connecting in Kazakhstan.

  • As of 3 September 2021 vaccination passport/certificates of the citizens of the Argentine Republic, Hungary, Georgia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Moldova, Republic of San Marino, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Thailand, Turkish Republic and the Republic of Estonia are valid in the Republic of Kazakhstan. PCR is not needed for citizens of the mentioned countries if a full passport of vaccination is presented.

Air Astana is exploring the opportunity to resume flights to London in August 2021. The issue is that Kazakhstan temporarily requires visas for UK citizens which affects passenger traffic. As soon as the visa requirements for UK citizens will be lifted, Air Astana is ready to resume flights.

Recently announced investment from Turkish, Arab, and Dutch companies will finance Kazakhstan's agri-industrial and chemical industries' projects worth more than $500 million (click here).

Kazakh Minister of National Economy Aset Irgaliyev said that in 2021, 47,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will receive preferential lending (click here).
